History of Detachment 1206

The Marine Corps League, Detachment #1206 was officially recognized in May 2005 and chartered at the same time.  We had our official charter presentation on November 10th, 2005, the Marine Corps 235th birthday, and hold this date as our official anniversary.

We became the official Toys for Tots representatives for the 2005 campaign and brought Christmas to over 6,000 children in east Tennessee.  We accomplished this by getting the support of the community through our "Toyrun" and "Bite of Sevier County."  We had Many sponsors and many volunteers to get the job done and we thank them with all our hearts.
